To provide excellent rescue & Fire Fighting Service in emergency situation.
To impart emergency responsive training to rescue and fire fighters to update their professional skills and knowledge.
To meet the deficiencies of trained fire personnel to upgrade professional skills and human behaviour in fire services.
Basically,AAI’s Fire Training Centres have been established to impart fire safety & rescue training to airport fire service personnel as per ICAO guide lines for conducting aircraft fire fighting & rescue operation.
Other than the rescue and fire fighting training,Fire training centres are conducting specialized training for officers & staff of other organizations and have also been entrusted with the responsibility for conducting basic and advance fire and rescue courses for port and shipping,oil industries,state fire and other industrial fire services.
During the year 2015, AAI Fiere Services Training Centres in Delhi & Kolkata have conducted 24 training programmes in which approx.1600 fire personnel including executives from AAI and the following other national & international organizations participated:
Drill Ground
Training centres have drill grounds.A separate parade ground is available for squad drill and ceremonial drill.Various Field exercise are conducted to develop confidence & skills to face the actual scenerio which the fire fighters likely to encounter during emergency.
Live exercises are also conducted to evaluate the performance of Trainee/Fireman like PET-(Physical Efficiency Test) and PFET-(Practical Firemanship Efficiency Test).
Appliance Drills
Drills ground has all facilities for conducting pump drill,Hydrant drill,Crash Fire Tender drill,Breathing Apparatus drill,Rescue drill etc.Smoke Chamber have been provided in the drill ground for realistic fire & rescue training.Trailer pump and hydrant system are provided for wet
fire fighting drills, Aircraft simulator for live hot fire rescue drill,Aircraft full emergency exercises.
Class Room
classroom are equipped with modern teaching aids and provided with proper ventilation,air conditioning,lighting & audio visual arrangements convenient for study.
Faculty
Training centres have two types of faculty:the core faculty and visiting faculty.The core faculty is experienced in the field of fire safety.The visiting faculties are
generally drawn as per the requirement of the training programme,from the professional experts in the field of Health,Safety,Manage
Laboratory
Test Laboratories have facilities for performance evaluation of Fire Equipments and fire extinguishing media. The laboratories also provide facility for research and development work.
Nomination for training Programmes at Fire Training CentresNomination for training Programmes Airports/Organization othr than AAI desirous of nominating their candidate to any of the training courses are required to send their request in the prescribed form to the General Manager(FS), Corporate Head Quarters, Rajiv Gandhi bhavan,New Delhi-110003 at least 45 days prior to the date of commencement of the course.Private candidates may send duly filled application/admission form directly to the above address to undergo basic training courses at FTC, New Delhi & FSTC, Kolkota respectively.
Confirmation
Confirmation of seats is subject to advance nomination and a line of confirmation will be sent to the organization/individual accordingly.
Payment
sponsors/private candidate shall pay the prescribed course fee in advance through a bank transfer or through a demand draft in favour of “Regional Executive Director, Northern Region,Airport Authority of india” payable at New Delhi for undergoing training at Fire training centre,Delhi and in favour of “regional Executive Director,Eastern Region,Airports Authority of india”payable at kolkata,for undergoing training at Fire service training Centre Kolkata.
The fee quoted above and other charges are subject to service tax and other taxes as applicable.Uniform kit charges 500/- or equivalent to USD per head.
Cancellation
Cancellation request will be accepted atleast 30 days before the commencement of the training otherwise payment will be foefeited.
Reporting
For all the training courses,candidate has to report ‘ONE DAY IN ADVANCE’from course commencing date.
Authority
The Competent Authority may revise or cancel any training session/program,and also revise the course fee without assigning any reason whatsoever.
Medical & Physical Fitness
Participants in all courses should be medically & physically fit to undergo training.a valid medical fitness certficate from goverment Medical officer is MUST for undergoing any of the training courses.
Financial Liability For Medical Treatment
Any expenses incurred in medical treatment during training period will be the responsibility of the concerned organization/individual trainee in case of private candidate.
